GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Safeguarding

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We have a Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy which outlines procedures which all members of the school community are expected to follow. This policy is on the school’s website and can be requested from the school office.

We expect that all visitors read our safeguarding leaflet on entry into the school and abide by the guidance it provides.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.  We will ensure that our concerns about pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.

If you have any concerns about the welfare of a child at Banstead Infant School please ask to speak with Mr Burbidge Headteacher and DSL or Natasha Mayor ELSA and DSL. Alternatively, concerns can be raised via email to: dsl@bansteadinfant.co.uk

If you have a concern about a child from Surrey during out of school hours and/or holiday periods, please contact Surrey Children’s Single Point of Access (C-SPA) on: 0300 470 9100.

If your concern/s relate to the actions or behaviour of a member of staff which could suggest that he or she is unsuitable to work with children, then you should report this to the Headteacher in confidence. The Headteacher will then seek advice from the LADO, as appropriate.

If the concern/s relates to the Headteacher, you should report it to the GLF Trustee member with responsibility for safeguarding, Gaby O'Meara (go'meara@glfschools.org) and GLF HR Director, Maria Cicero Scott (cicero-scottm@glfschools.org).
